Randy had made his way down into the engine works from where he had originally stepped out from to being with. He pressed his hands up against his cheeks somewhat and took in a deep breath in order to calm down from the previous awkwardness presented by encountering the captain of the ship that was above. He hoped the message had been received and had gotten to the captain clear enough. He seemed unsure on what he had actually said the captain up above, what was it exactly? His mind fluttered and briefly panicked about something so small as he continued into the engine works of the ship. Whatever it was, it was quite too late now to go back and correct it or pop up and say something yet again. The captain, did seem busied and worried, though not overly so probably just the right amount that Cap’ should have been. Randy’s mind continued to flutter about and his nose twitched somewhat at something but this had not been something of full awareness or at least not at this very moment. He needed to calm down, even if it ‘twas only to calm down by just a little from his current state of mind. He bit down on his left cheek and tried fiddling with the misbehaving button from earlier but that seemed practically useless in effect as he continued about the innards of the ship. Dragging along the wrench and trying to immediately board up any and every hole in the hull he could find with some material that would hopefully be found inside the supply closets or rooms themselves that were around the ship. The work of trying to run and complete repairs and actually having some work to accomplish was actually quite effective way of calming down. He was even feeling less weird for a few seconds. For the sake of it and a bit of silliness and a bit of a daydream he tried making something up along the way. Most of it was muttering to himself aloud. Not being very conscious of it. “Twas the night that the stars aligned had I met you out upon the grassy plains. The wind called and whistled to thine ear that the time of destiny and determination was upon us. For the river of time would flow ever onward and many a trial shall standeth in our path. The journey to be undertaken will be like the carver’s knife against our skin and so-“ He was in the middle of making a large upward sweeping gesture with his left arm to exaggerate what he was saying, when someone was upon him. Should have noticed them for miles away. It was especially awkward being caught messing around and making up some nonsense lines or words with no real point besides distraction and entertainment. He really should escape the confines of his mind more often instead of delving further into them and messing around. He set both of his arms down and his back facing toward the one who had asked about Randy’s current career position. He felt like there was something beating at a fast pace inside of his stomach as if it was a drum. He also felt like he was puffing out a little, but surely that was only his imagination. He took a moment, of slight internal screaming though the reason and emotion of such was, unclear. He looked over his shoulder to the one who had come to the lower plains inside the ship. “…It is fine.” Were the words that were barely squeezed out of his throat to answer the question asked.
