Also, i guess the consequences of Ludmilla's wish weren't really explained very well. Probably my fault. But the idea was that fame and fortune accumulate gradually, and not happen overnight. And that that kind of attention can gather up some unwanted attention, and that's why Ludmilla's been travelling around, moving from country to country to stay hidden and keep the masquerade up.  As to when her wish is going to be granted in full, i guess during the game. Probably before she dies horribly.
