[indent]Blake is a product of quite the dysfunctional family, and it causes her to be someone who's hard to understand. People often peg her as a delinquent, a problem child, and a pain in the neck, and well... it's because it's true. Blake doesn't give a shit what people think of her and she does whatever she wants, not caring what it may do to others or considering the repercussions of her actions. She's a rebel, a thrill seeker, a fighter, but also entirely misunderstood. When she's suffering, she takes it out on other people by playing pranks or just being outright rude. She's blunt when it comes to how she feels about things, and whatever she says goes, otherwise it's the end of the world. She suffers from dissociation and often times believes that everyone and everything is out to get her or doesn't understand her. When she wants to get someone's attention, she'll bother them until they notice her, or do something completely over the top to be the center of attention. She gets into trouble a lot, and that can make it seem as though she's someone to stay away from, but in reality, Blake could be a really cool friend if someone were to see behind her rebel facade. 

In a nutshell, she's bat shit crazy. Then again, aren't we all a little insane inside?[/indent]

For most of her life, Blake didn't know what it felt like to be a normal child. She grew up in Whales with her mother and father who typically spent a lot of time away from home. Despite basically being raised by her neighbors, she was told by her parents to never forget she was loved from the bottom of their hearts. It turned out that her parents had... different ways of showing it. 

Her mother was the nice one. She was super mom, the best mom ever who baked the best cookies ever. During the times she was home, she allowed a young Blake to sit and watch her paint. When she was sad, her mother cradled her until Blake grew intoxicated by her scent of tea and lavender shampoo. At night, her mother would tuck her in, read her a story and kiss her goodnight after mumbling a soft "I love you."

Her father was completely the opposite. He was always angry and yelling, cursing and hitting Blake for the smallest things, telling her he did it out of love and that it would end up making her a better person in the long run. He was violent with her, often leaving dark bruises on her skin that lasted weeks or longer before healing. Aside from being physically abusive, he was verbally, emotionally, and even sexually abusive towards Blake, always claiming it was out of love. 

Love. That dangerous word. 

Blake's mother was oblivious to the abuse, as she grew older, it was easier to hide everything. Her mom was always so happy, and Blake was hesitant to ruin the life that her mother thought was so perfect. When she became of age and entered wizarding school, she excelled in her studies, and the only thing to match was her poor attitude and ability to get in trouble. During an explosive accident (that was [i]totally[/i]) not her fault, Blake got burned pretty bad and was seen by the school nurse, resulting in the revelation that she was being abused at home. When her mother found out, she was furious and confronted her dad and things got so out of control, the worst thing imaginable happened. 

Blake ended up losing the one thing she really cared about. 

Coping with the loss of her mother with nearly impossible, and Blake's rebellious nature got even more out of control. It got to a point where she was expelled from the school she attended and forced to go to therapy for a few months before she was allowed to return. 

An opportunity arose for exceptional students to be allowed to transfer and attend an American school, and Blake jumped at the chance. Though her reputation was sour, there was no doubt that her grades were exceptional. Surprisingly enough, her transfer was approved and she was set to attend Salem, under the promise that she would behave.
