From the perspective of a heterosexual male, when you see a male that looks so much like a female that it is difficult if not impossible to tell the difference, where you struggle between your feelings of attraction for who they are and your confusion on how to handle what they are, what do you do? Flip that around for someone like Hope. Here is a person who once fell in love but knows that his gender is a huge barrier that pretty much prevents any chance of pursuing that love. You can almost see why Hope might even have some (or even a lot) of resentment toward his own gender...."cursed" to look so feminine that he's stuck between two worlds. He can never be manly, but he'll never be a real girl either. 

This is how it feels to be Hope. He is a boy with an incomprehensible feminine appearance. His face is delicate and effortlessly lovely, with big doe eyes accented by thick long eyelashes and dark brown pupils. Soft eyebrows accent his clear smooth milky brown skin and his hair is generally pulled back, though on a rare occasion it is seen out. His effeminate nature is further emphasized by his cute button nose and full heart-shaped lips. He stands at 5'5, much shorter than most guys his age and his body is lithe and petite. He has a weird birthmark on the back of his neck that resembles a leaf. 

It is a known fact that Hope gets cold very easily. So when he doesn't have to wear the house uniform, he usually wears sweaters and turtlenecks to keep himself warm and usually dark colours like black so he doesn't draw attention to himself. Most will almost never see his bare skin, except for general areas like his hands and his face. There is an indubitably feminine air about him. But he isn't sassy or anything in that regard. There is just an airy and eternalness to his presence, from the way he talks to the way he moves. He comes off as as very fragile. He is the type that people often want to protect because they see him as frail. And he has sort of garnered a reputation for unintentionally causing guys to fall in love with him. Some of the girls are jealous and don't like him because of this and because they hate how pretty he is.

[indent]Decarabia ( a floating demon that appears as a star with a creepy eye in its center); There is a little history to Hope's worst fear. It all began when he was a child. Some children had the boogeyman or a ghost, he had Decarabia. Decarabia was one of the 72 demons of Goetia who appears as a star with a menacing eye in the center. Growing up, Hope's grandparents told him that the demon hid amongst the stars in the sky so he could watch over him no matter where he was and they always warned him that if he didn't behave or if he did bad things, Decarabia would be there, watching. And if he did enough bad things, Decarabia would suck him into its massive eye. While most kids grew out of their childish fears, Hope seemed to never have outgrown it.[/indent]

[color=yellow]P E R S O N A L I T Y[/color]
[indent]Hope, is a feminine young boy who exudes an ethereal air, from the way he talks to the way he moves. Although demure and airy, this does not mean he is graceful, because he isn't. He is actually rather adorkable and very clumsy, sometimes tripping over himself or forgetting things from time to time. He is always trying to make himself seem more mature, but instead, he usually fumbles over an eloquent sentence he was trying to formulate. He wants people to think of him as more capable and precocious, and hates feeling underestimated or as though he can't do anything for himself. He can become easily discouraged when he feels he has become a burden to someone or has messed up, so it is necessary to assure him that not everything is his fault. He apologizes often. 

Generally though, Hope is very a well-mannered, sensible, and serious wallflower. He is incredibly acquiescent towards anyone that is older than him, often following their commands or orders simply because they were given. He rarely has objections unless he feels strongly about it. This mentality is why he is very giving and sharing, because he usually has no qualms about doing things for others. His appearance is considered beautiful and feminine by most who meet him, though he does seem to be bothered by this fact, but seeing as it is something that cannot be changed, he isn't one who pays attention to aesthetics and vanity. Others, often underestimate him because his feminine face and delicate frame and feel like they need to protect him (which is kind of a complex for him). Additionally, he doesn't judge others for their decisions or actions(whether good or bad) because he believes people never really change and they are who they are. They may behave differently, but they are only suppressing their true selves. A "Change of Heart" really only transpires out of convenience and it is often fleeting.  

His strongest quality is that he is extremely patient. It's rare that he gets flustered by time. He has an uncanny ability and willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay. This is because he strongly believes in fate and destiny and that things cannot be changed. Everything is what it is, everyone is who they are, and everything that happens was suppose to happen at the exact time that it happened. Because of this, Hope doesn't ever really feel things like optimism or blessings, because if something occurred in his favor, it was simply suppose to happen that way. That's not to say he wouldn't feel disappointed if something occurred to him that was unfavorable, but he accepts it as a part of his unchangeable destiny. Despite this, he puts forth his best effort in the tasks that are assigned to him because he is "supposed" to.   

It should be noted that Hope is somewhat of a germaphobe and a neat freak. He hates things that are dirty or unclean, though people mistake this for being timid or meek, which he isnt. But this is also a reason why he generally wears long sleeves and dislikes being touched or close contact. Hope can be somewhat stubborn when it comes to doing things for himself. There is a proud feeling of self-sustainability when he accomplishes things on his own and prefers it that way. Structure, stability, and order are things he greatly enjoys. Doing homework especially. He is quite studious and the type who likes to stay within the box. He often doesn't get sarcasm or jokes, though he will feign laughter to avoid hurting someones feelings.
