Dren was given a moment of quiet to think about his situation. Here he was aboard this ship. Thus far he had no reason to trust any of them. But he was a smart man, not some common vagabond. He could think his way out of this, surely. He glanced at them each in turn. The fox was the one who worried him the most of the lot... those eyes. Something struck him about those eyes... not to mention after a single utterance he had somewhat leapt upon the chance to belittle him. He'd need to keep an eye on him. There was simply something off. Then there was the large engineer fellow... he didn't look particularly threatening. Chances were he could just be a middle man for the more important players, an intermediary of sorts. He felt doubtful about considering him a threat... but then this last one, the one who'd gone and fetched him. Dren remained unsure as to his purpose in all of this... he certainly seemed to have an agenda parallel to the rest. These three were the important ones, he considered... were he given the chance, he could name the lot of them and perhaps escape further accusation as a result. He might still be able to salvage some reputation if he made for a far away city for the time being. "Get you to Lindblum? Do you take me for a bodyguard?" he inquired with a sideways look at him, hand grasping the ball of his cane. "And what kind of job could you possibly offer me? I'm not exactly unconvinced i'm riding with unrequited fellows at present." He was aware of his snippy tone at this point, especially toward the individual who seemed to at least be somewhat kind... but this whole thing stank anyway.
