When I had mine taken out they also did a gum removal surgery so I was put under for a while. When I got home I was so doped up I slept for 24 hours straight. I only woke up once because stupid me wore skinny jeans to the surgery and was uncomfortable, but too high to get them off myself, so I had my now-sister-in-law take them off for me.

Long story short, I get it. Take all the time you need.
