[@Undying Curiosity] If you had told Maria a year ago that she would be going to school to learn about strange mythical beasts, after inheriting one from her estranged grandfather, Maria would have never believed you. But here she was, pulling up in a limo with said strange beast, a Grim named Garren. But right now, he took the form of a Doberman that she called Horatio. Horatio had been very protective to Maria ever since she inherited him, staying close by her side where ever she went when he could, and staying put until she came back when he couldn't follow her. He reminded Maria a lot of police dogs with how well trained and obedient he was, but when it was just the two of them, he also showed of affection and Maria learned quickly that his favorite spot for her to pet was right behind his ears. And it was good that Maria got along so well with her new beast as she definitely wanted something somewhat familiar and comforting as she went to, what was to her, essentially a new world. Speaking of which, the limo had stopped and she opened the door and stepped out and got her first good look at her new home, or, at least, the school part of it. It definitely looked like a fancy school, maybe not as magical as one would expect it to but that kind of made sense to Maria. Garren was quick to follow Maria as she walked through the school gates and through the crowd of people, taking note of what their beasts' mundane forms were. Some were animals like dogs and birds (there was even a horse!) and some even looked like people! Maria would have loved to examine them closer, but not only did she not know if that was considered rude, she also had to get to the theatre hall for a lecture. She let Garren lead the way, as it seemed like he had been here before and knew the way. As she was walking, she fell into step with another boy. His beast was also a dog in mundane form and was actually a puppy. So a young beast then? If so, that was kind of cute. "Hi! You new here too?" Maria asked them as they got to the theatre's door and started to look for a seat.
