Riordian writes that Tyche is the hardest of the goddesses to find. And she's the goddess of luck... would it be alright if Bran (my character) won the jackpot for Demigods: a normal childhood. No monsters, no magic, just a loving mother and father and siblings. Mundane and boring, but peaceful. Tyche more or less played the mortal mom role for awhile, so he knows (and loves her) on a more personal level.

At the very least it's different from everyone's 'my godly parent left and this had caused strife and angst!'
