5e has a lot of player-made customization from what we've seen (story, species/races, settings, etc.) imported and adapted from other systems (like pathfinder). It naturally won't have as much as 3.5/pathfinder, seeing how its not been around as long, but that should be rather given. We've not got much experience (yet) but our impression is that character creation is easier in 5e.
It also leaves some important options up to the DM that I believe are a good change. (For instance, since "feats" don't have the same function as they did in 3.5 / Pathfinder, they're optional.) That said, your best bet to find a Pathfinder game is the Paizo play by post forums. There's plenty of folks that still love 3.5 and Pathfinder there. 5E being popular here makes plenty of sense, though: it's the newest D&D edition, and it was specifically designed to have qualities of 2E, 3.5, and 4th. It's done a pretty good job of that while being its own game, and it's brought a lot of new players in, too. EDIT: If you were willing to DM, you might actually get a good game going here, but you did say that's not something you're confident about doing, aye? Any reason?
