Though it didn’t show on his face, his eyes twinkled with the knowledge that she would be hungry. The Miss always got enthralled into things and loses track of time. It was no surprise that she would lose track of time waiting for her grades and stressing over them. He made a mental note to make sure that the candy bowl in her room was filled before she returned to it. At her thanks to him pulling out the chair he gave her a simple nod of ‘you’re welcome’ before lifting the lid. Her reaction made his eyes twinkle with happiness, though he did not wear it upon his sleeve. He loved to cook; it was one of his favorite things and the fact that she enjoyed it made it all the worthwhile and receiving the complement about the apple, he bowed his head slightly before stepping back from her, giving her space to eat. Her question was met with a straight forward polite answer. “Juice is an important part of any breakfast. This is juice freshly squeezed from the oranges from the orange tree outside. And the hot chocolate seemed like a suitable replacement for milk as a celebration for good news.” There was two things that James had a secret passion for; cooking being one of them and the other being hot chocolate. It wasn’t uncommon that James would present Freya with hot chocolate on her down nights or during times of her accomplishments. And this time was no different. “Shall I fetch you milk in its place?” The chatter of the maids began as the Master was up and moving; the smell of coffee came from the kitchen which indicated that her father would be arriving shortly. James kept back from the table allowing her to eat in peace without him looming over her shoulder and even he was excited (inside) to see her father’s reaction about her getting into the college she wanted to so desperately; however it would require her to move in order to attend. It would be sad to see her go, she was the bright light in this house.
