Every mythology in existence claimed the sun and stars were different things. Objects or people and so forth. Never DID they Say "THESE ARE THE SAME things, EXCEPT THIS one is closer and those are further away.

The only issue with that would be that any star has the potential to become a Sun - I have no doubts that this RP will see a very quick expansion beyond one planet, unlike the last two iterations.
