Captain america does not exist in this setting and never did, nor was there ever any comic book relating to him. She's her own thing.
Sorry about calling her Ms. America. Just a slip of the tongue (or rather fings). Lady Liberty. Got it down now.
That is something that has been a subject of some degree of tension. Originally there was to be none of that (at least none of the 'real world' superhero comics) it doesn't make sense after all as this world had its own actual heroes and villains such as Lady Liberty and others from those old days to begin with. Dedonus started doing it though, you may notice that I have always completely avoided it and commented several times over the years that it isn't a thing.... I would also add that Nitemare Shape has expressed agreement with me on the fact that it cheapens the immersion of a separate world substantially.
First time I ever heard anything about this. I don't really buy the argument that the Marvel and DC characters would not exist as fictional characters because people would want the "real deal". We have movies about fictional presidents when we still have real ones. We still have movies about fictional soldiers when we still have real soldiers. We still have media about fictional athletes when we have real athletes. On the top of my head (although if you can think of an example, please enlighten me), I cannot think of a real-life example equivalent to what you are proposing. Sure, fictional accounts of the "real" superheroes in this universe might have more popularity. However, another thing that needs to be kept in mind is that a majority of the characters in this roleplay have not been superheroes for that long. Other than the WWII heroes, none of the other characters would really have an affect on whether or not Batman, Spider-Man, Superman, and the rest exist. Honestly, I think Marvel and DC would be trying to buy up the rights to our characters in the game (especially Icon by DC).
