Spinel got Bloodstone's message and began moving into the town.  She spoke back into her communicator.  "I'm going to look for a vantage point.  I'll let you know if I see the corrupted gem."  She hurried through the town, eyes dating about for something suitable. Spinel ran into the building and climbed the stairs as fast as she could until she reached the roof, probably startling several township employees on her way there.  When Spinel reached the roof, she generated her crossbow and looked for the gem beast that was headed their way.  She began to load her bow.
