[b]Countermeasures:[/b] - Anti-ECM hardening in the ship's systems - 12 individual ECM Modules for Electronic Warfare - 400 Chaff, flare, and flechette launchers. [b]Engines:[/b] Intra-system engines are powerful, maneuverable CARDINAL cold fusion drives, (each providing 15,000,000 tonnes of thrust) mounted all about the ship, but with most near the rear and the sides. (There are 15 in all.) Inter-system engines are stable BR-902 BRTA drives, (each providing 58,000,000 tonnes of thrust,) and if not the quickest, they are reliable, power-efficient drives that could run for a very long time before shutting down. (There are 5 in all.) FTL is an inefficient beast of a drive, the MK-2 DRAKON, which, instead of cancelling mass, or anything like that, punches a hole in space, leaving a heavy signature behind, allowing it to be tracked easily, but letting it move at FTL faster than most other ships. It operates at 180xSoL, but it is capable of speeds exceeding 230xSoL, but only with the Hard Light Shroud activated, which is an ENORMOUS power drain. [b]Reactors:[/b] 10 Reikos Heavy Reactors, providing .80 YW of power. 5 Demos-Craay Medium Backup Antimatter Batteries, providing enough power for the ship to perform at maximum capacity for 24 hours, or at non-combat capacity for 2 weeks. These batteries recharge automatically over a span of 8 days. [b]Crew:[/b] 72,000 Crewmen across all decks, 12,000 of which are Marines, Mechanized Marines, not counting those for onboard security. There are 10 Battalions of Marines on-board, meant for assault, and 1 Battalion of Mechanized Marines, with 1000 soldiers in various squadrons, wearing Mech suits. [b]Computer Systems:[/b] 4 Main Computer Cores, EMP hardened, and defended by an AI whose single purpose is Electronic Warfare. 4 Backup Computer Cores, off of which most of the crew's non-duty activity takes place, until they are needed in combat, or if the main ones are compromised. They are EMP hardened as well, and they are secondary priorities to the Electronic Defense AI. The Electronic Warfare AI is called Athena, and the one other, the one that helps with navigation, is called Minerva. [b]Fighter and Bomber Compliment:[/b] 100 Old, dangerous, yet very effective Hurricanes from about fifty years back. They aren't as nimble as the average fighter, but they make up for it in heavier armor and weaponry. They have 2 50mm Autocannons which fire 800 RPM, 1 Shiva Railgun which fires at 120 RPM, but has incredible accuracy and force, and 12 Micro-Missiles. Each Heavy Mech has a variety of options for weaponry, including; - 50mm Autocannons - Plasma Cutters (Melee weapon) - Long-Range 80mm Railgun - Micro-Torpedo Launchers, firing a torpedo with a 2 KT micronuke; and is extremely maneuverable. While unable to go as far as quickly as other spacecraft, they have superior 3D movement and combat abilites. She loves captaining her ship, and enjoys flying with the fleet. She cares for her crew, but trusts them to do their jobs, and trusts in her ship, even if it is a bit older. [b]Bio:[/b] Sarah grew up the daughter of a vigilante on a backwater scavenger world; one which was more similar to the wild west of Earth's Old America. With space-age tech. She was happy, working alongside her father in their day job as mechanics; and fighting with him as vigilantes. However, one day, through a convoluted series of events, which included her father's death, her rescue of a Hegemony Admiral, and successful assault on a bandit stronghold to retrieve the Admiral's ship, she became the Captain of the Ascendant. Nobody really minded, as most of the crew came from the surrounding systems and knew her father's name, and her own reputation. She doesn't mind being assigned to a system she didn't know about before; any chance to help people, no matter where they're from, is a chance worth taking.
