Closed to additional RPs at this time.
Welcome! I hope you like self-deprecating weebs, because you're in a topic written by one. I'm looking for one or two 1x1 RPs to get myself back into writing regularly.
I'm a 22 year old university graduate. My degree is in English, so I possess elite, world-changing skills such as reading. I can also pretend like I know something about writing. In all seriousness though, my concentration was in creative writing and I enjoy helping others express their imaginations as well as writing for my own pleasure. I've been roleplaying for about a decade. Usually I GM on a different site, but I've become somewhat bored with it and would like to play on a more equal field. I'd also like to try out things I've never done before, since the aforementioned site dealt primarily in fantasy and not much else. I love video games (both Eastern and Western) and manga. I took Japanese all four years in university, but I am by no means an expert. If you send me a bunch of kanji, you will likely get a "すみません、分かりません" back.

Guidelines
As someone who is growing ever-further past the magic age of 18, I prefer my roleplaying partners to be in the same demographic. I don't want to go to jail for accidentally seducing someone underage with my ridiculously sexy roleplaying skills and beguiling acts of shitposting. Romance between our characters is fine, but I have to know you for at least a bit before I feel comfortable doing anything lewd. I'm pure and innocent like that. By the by, if we decide to go this route, I can do MxF or FxF pairings, and I can play characters of either gender. I'm fine with violence, profanity, sexual references, blood, and gore. The only thing that starts to make me cringe are depictions of sexual assault. Implications in backgrounds and "off-screen" and whatnot are fine, but actual depictions in the RP itself are just a tad too much for me. Not that I've ever seen anything like that here on the Guild, but better to be safe and open, I suppose. I would like to engage in at least a bit of collaborative world-building before we start, so that we're on the same page. The key word there is "collaborative." I want someone to rant with, not someone to rant at. Concerning fandoms, I prefer OCs to canon characters for the most part. Maybe the story might call for a canon character to show up as a NPC cameo or something, and that's fine. But for the most part, OCs. I prefer partners who can handle RPing multiple characters, even if it's one main character and some side characters or NPCs. I don't want to carry the load all myself, though I totally could. I can bench press 85 pounds and then some. I would put myself towards the upper limit of what is considered casual. I post about 2-4 paragraphs a post, perhaps more depending on the situation. It usually takes me about a full day, maybe two, to get a post done. I like to keep you updated, but if for some reason you don't hear from me, feel free to give me a nudge. I expect about the same from my partners, but if you need an extra day or so to post just let me know and I'll be patient. To prove you've read at least this, please include a picture of an anime girl and/or a cute puppy with your interest to appeal to my delicate sensibilities. If you want to drop, just let me know and I won't hold it against you. I actually won't hold it against you anyway, but come on, do you really want to make me sad? For this handsome face of mine to be marred with sorrow would certainly cause a lag in birth rates across the world. If I start to feel bored or just bleh myself, I won't leave you hanging. I'll tell you if there's something we can do to fix it, or maybe that I just need a week or so to recharge, and we'll go from there. I would prefer a thread because I like the organization, but I'm not against PMs. Regardless, I would like for us to get to know each other and chat about stuff not related to the RP, but if you don't like that kind of off-topic chatter just let me know and I'll understand.
Fandoms
Now with all that out of the way, on to the fun stuff. Here are a few pretty rough ideas I have. [s]
I've always had this idea for a Persona RP that kind of gets away from the Scooby Doo vibes and drifts more back to its SMT roots. I'll admit that I've only played the older SMT and Persona games, and it was quite some time ago, so if you're some kind of lore samurai you may be offended by my lack of precise knowledge about the series. Maybe one day I'll start a group RP with this idea, but for now I'm happy with testing it on a 1x1 basis. In the near future, a large city in Japan draws attention with its incredibly low rates of depression and hostility — in fact, there hasn't been a single suicide or homicide in the city for nearly twenty years. It is called the "happiest city on the planet" in media outlets across the world, and this news is causing it to expand rapidly. However, the reason for this is a well-kept secret. Those who would seek to squander their potential or disrespect the sanctity of their lives or others, end up gazing too long at their reflection in the mirror . . . and it gazes back. This mirror self, an ideal image of the person, take their place and lives their life for them. The person is thrown into the alternate mirror world of the city, a hellish wasteland where deadly monsters roam. Armed with only the weapons they can find and the ability to call upon their inner demons as a Persona, those who become thrown into this mirror world must discover the mysteries of this mirror world, including the identities of the mirror images that pulled them in.
[/s]
These games were my favorite when I was a kid. I only made it up to 3 before it started to feel kind of redundant, but I loved the modern take on Megaman. I think there's a lot of potential (and similarities to real life) in a world where the younger generation has grown up on the Net and become involved in cybercrime that the older generation aren't skilled enough to handle. Maybe a veteran detective gets paired with a much younger detective (perhaps even a child) in an attempt to handle a new boom in cybercrime, and there's a lot of friction as they try to work together and teach each other?

I love Star Wars, and I'm down for just about anything in that universe. I'm particularly fond of the Knights of the Old Republic games, but I also have a soft spot for clone troopers thanks to Republic Commando and far too many hours of Battlefront. It's hard to put any rough ideas here, since there are so many ways it could go.
Here are some fandoms I don't really have ideas for, but wouldn't mind RPing if you had some.

Bioshock (the first two games please, no time travel nonsense for me)
Resident Evil (the games, I've played 1, 4, and 5)
[s]Fallout (3 or New Vegas based)[/s]
Golden Sun
Anything mecha-based

Pairings
I'll bold what I would want to play. If nothing's bolded, I have no preference. Feel free to use these pairings with the fandoms above, if you so desire.

Exorcist x Ghost
[s]Modern-day Royalty x Bodyguard (Slightly Full Metal Panic! inspired, if you're familiar)[/s]
I think that about does it. Feel free to PM me or leave a post here expressing your interest with the aforementioned appeal to my sensibilities, and I'll get back to you. I'll keep this topic updated and bumped as need be. Thanks for reading!
