[@Loony] I'll have to keep that in mind.  It's pretty unlikely that my sister will ever actually get a bird since our mom hates animals in general and our dad is sick of getting her pets but if it's ever on the table I'll be sure to tell them that parrotlets or something similar are the best choice!

Yeah that's about what I've heard, after hearing of the wonders of sheep milk I really want to try it, but as with you it isn't really available where I live.  It's kind of odd you've never met a friendly sheep, maybe it really does come down to how they're raised there?  In general though yeah goats definitely seem to be more tolerant of people, the petting zoo goats my sister and I go to see once a year literally just sit there and sleep through being pet and cuddled by zoo patrons.  After what you've told me I think I'm definitely going to try to get some of both one day.
