Sheet

Name: Reathos Alias: Deathbringer, Releaser, Keeper of Spirits, The Bottler Gender: Male Domain (Portfolio): Death(Spirits) Domain (Portfolio) Description: Death, the ultimate ending. The perfect form of destruction. A sentient life form surrenders to the inevitability of time and passes on. Death, and dying, marks the transistion from the known and understood form of life to ‘the other side’. For some it happens peacefully, in their sleep at old age. Other times it is forced upon someone with blade or bullet. But eventually death comes to us all. Mortal or god. Spirits spawn when a sentient life form dies. A spirit is the remainder of one’s life, memories, skills, experience, knowledge, soul and magical essence. To make sure that the world remains in balance, Reathos knows he has to return the spirits to which he refers as the Primordial Pool. He doesn’t know how exactly the Pool works. He only knows that he has to return the spirits there. Alignment: Lawful neutral Personality: Reathos takes his task very serious. As fair as he is, when someone has to die, he will make sure that happens. The more you try to resist him, the crueler he will take one’s life. If you accept the inevitable, he will try to make your passing as easy as possible. In the end, he understands that many will see him as evil. And he may even agree with them, to some extent. But he’s a necessary evil. But then there are those inherently immortal. Like gods and demi-gods. While he accepts his siblings as an inevitability, he has a problem with demi-gods. To understand his problem with them you must understand that Reathos wants balance. If a mortal wants to live longer than he should, then he must offer a service to the god of Death. This service often translates into killing a certain other being that should have died but slipped Reathos' fingers. The problem with demi-gods is that they are inherently immortal. So while Reathos allows every being to live a life. At a certain moment he will send someone (or come himself) to slay a demi-god. Obviously no god would want its child to be slain. But Reathos cares little for what other gods really want. The only true exception to this rule is Fate. For Fate almost guides his hand, letting those die who are fated to pass on. Only Fate would be able to halt the pursuit of Reathos completely. Now, a god may search the protection from Death for his son. And such thing is most certainly possible. But as said, when one heart beats on, another must stop. Reathos will tell the god to kill another demi-god, hero, or merely start a war against a certain race as payment. There are those who pray for Reathos to end a certain life. Some pray to end their own life, and if Reathos sees that they have suffered long and without reason, he might actually give this person the sweet release of death. Others pray for the dead of another. No doubt there will be cults of Death. Those who praise Reathos by killing others. But only true followers will know that one must not mindlessly start slaying. For killing someone who does not deserve it will most certainly cause your own dead. Some people may even search these cults, in an attempt to sway them and Reathos to end someone. It is not beyond the realm of possibilities that Reathos listens to well-made arguments of mortals and deems them reason enough to shorten a life. On final note of these cults, they will most likely be compromised out of several created races (from other gods). Drawn into service by an agreement with Reathos or one of his avatars. But Reathos himself will never create life consciously. Appearance: His Primal form is that of a humanoid man, standing tall and dressed in heavy, black robes. He wears a mask made from a shiny silver metal, in the shape of a skull (without the cheekbone). One can only see his bright purple eyes, and his mouth with black lips and fair, blue-greyish skin around it. On his right hand he wears a gauntlet made from the same metal as his mask. He carries a lantern with his armored hand. Within it burns a purple flame. His left hand is left bare. It looks boney and meager. Even the skin doesn’t look right. A dark blue, like it’s frozen. One of his lesser forms is that of a jet black crow. The crow looks far bigger than the average crow, and is often accompanied by an entire murder. But what is most strange is that in his crow form he can turn incorporeal at will. ((Might add some as the RP goes on if that’s okay)) Musical Theme: Avenged Sevenfold - Hail to the king Description: A fair executioner. Reathos makes sure that things die so the new can live. He himself is not responsible to kill every creature. As he will make sure that the concept of death will be fundamental to creation. He is responsible to make sure that they die. Should someone achieve immortality and this person does not deserve it, Reathos himself will hunt him down. Some may also pray to him to take the life of someone else. And others pray to release them from their suffering. Reathos listens to these prayers and executes their wishes if he thinks they are fair. Reathos can kill lesser beings in a way he sees fit. Mostly by violently ripping a soul from a body. Leaving it lifeless. Souls he gathers from the dead are sucked into his lantern. Which he takes with him to his plane. His 'hobby' is to 'bottle' separate memories of those who died, as he releases the souls into the Primordial Pool. As he can access the Primordial Pool through his lantern, Reathos can handle great power if required. The power used has nothing to do with Astarte's kind of magic, as what he uses aren't souls, but more or less what souls once were but after dead turned into. He can also summon spirits and let these beings go forth to kill or rage. He can also appear near any being that is dying, to take their spirit. It serves as a soul magnet, drawing all damned soul towards it, and keeping them within the hall. Description: A rather sizeable cave, with at the center a massive black obelisk stretching halfway to the ceiling. The obelisk serves as the magnet itself, and the walls of the cave as a physical boundary to keep the spirits imprisoned. After several hundred years of sentient life, damned souls can be found here. In various forms of sanity. Most are seen as green ghosts or even small lights. Howling around in the cave. Things it does: Keeping the dead spirits there. Extra: Holy site, 4 Might invested

Creatures

Name: Heraktati (single: Herakt) Lifespan: 20 – 30 years Description: First off, Heraktati are carnivores and thus constantly hunt. They operate in packs lead by an alpha. Their main purpose is to track down weak, sick or too old animals and kill them. The packs constantly move, going in the direction of the setting sun. Should they ever be blocked by something (by a large mass of water for example), then they will turn around and start following the rising sun. They sleep a maximum of 5 hours, merely to rest their muscles. They don’t dream, and are driven by a constant insatiable blood thirst. Weak Heraktati are unable to stay with the pack, and thus quickly die. Even fresh born younglings are expected to keep up with the fast paced pack. To maintain a certain population, pack mentality is highly encouraged. While even alone a Herakt can be very dangerous, no-one in their right mind should take on a pack. However, it is entirely possible that the pack grows too big. Reathos designed them so that at a certain size, the pack’s younglings will start challenging the older Alpha and other older Heraktati. The resulting infighting will shrink the pack back to a more manageable size. Appearance: Heraktati are hexdruped beings. They are about the size of a pony. With short, black fur all over their bodies. Their powerful, muscular hind legs allow them to jump up to 3 times their own height. As well as to keep up a certain running speed. At the end of the foot there is a very sharp claw. Used to make deep gapping wounds. Heraktati have 2 pair of front legs. The first pair, closest to the hind legs are often used to keep balance during running. These legs have small but very sharp claws. Though they don’t often use them, except for when a target is big enough to jump it. The second pair of front legs, the ones most in front, look just like the first one except that their toes are almost completely claws. While running next a fleeing prey, they use these claws to cut op wide spots of skin. They have a next which is about 2 feet long. The back along the spine is extremely though and muscular But there are ‘breathing’ holes here. When running these holes open up, allow carbon dioxide to escape. When biting, they breathe through these breathing holes, so they don’t have to release the bite for lack of breathe. Their head is slim and long. They have no nose, 2 pair of eyes, 1 pair of ears and one big mouth. Down their throat is their smell-sense. It’s far less accurate then with most species but can detect blood and even sickness from miles away. They use it mostly to get the general direction. The first pair is open during the night. Their eyes have a lot more rod than cone cells. Allowing them to track motion easier through the dark and seeing shapes better. The second pair is used when there is plenty of light. For starters the retina can shrink to a much smaller size and in this eye there are more cones. Allowing for a rather broad spectrum of colors (not as broad as humans). Their ears mostly function to detect what they can’t see. In other words, it’s to warn them form attacks from behind. Heraktati are very visual based hunters. Now for their mouth. They have 2 sets of jaws. The first, outer jaw (and set of teeth) is mostly made to hook up against their pray. The teeth are curved, thus anchoring themselves into the flesh. The second, separate jaw is mostly used to start eating from the animal. The muscles inside are not be underestimated. They are specifically made to crunch bone and get to the internal organs as fast as possible. Heraktati inject a powerful poison with the first bite they deliver. They mostly depend on the animal exhausting itself. By making it bleed heavily from the first few delivered wounds. The poison injected is an Anticoagulants and a mixture of thyroid hormones, making the heart beat faster. Purpose: They systematically cross the world, constantly killing the weak, the old and the sick to make place for the young and better. Making sure that any creature has a natural predator. Forcing it to either evolve and improve or be hunted to extinction.

Name: Reathos’ Crows (singe: crow) Alias: Death’s witnesses Lifespan: 10 – 15 years Description: In nearly all aspects of life, the crows of Reathos and normal ones are equal. However, the crows of Reathos server a greater purpose. They are all cursed by Reathos. The name of this curse is ‘The Lesser Eyes of Reathos’. The Sight allows the perception of a living, sentient being’s name. The true, soul name. Furthermore, the curse allows to take over the crow. In a very invasive way. Purpose: Reathos senses that in the era of sentient creatures emerging, he needs to have his eyes everywhere. Making sure no sentient being evades his or her death.

Name: Pronobii (Singular: Pronobis) Lifespan: 50 to 60 years. They don’t get older than that. Never. Appearance: Their general shape is much like that of humans. 2 legs, 2 arms, 1 head and a body. They have 4 toes on each foot and no nails. On their hands they don’t have nails either but they do have 4 fingers and a thumb. They are completely bald and not a single bit of hair grows on them. Their skin feels icy and hard. It is therefor, also very hard to break it and it serves as their last line of defense. However, should the ice break a Pronobis will crumble and break immediately. Further, their facial features can best be described as harsh and sharp. With few soft edges. Except for their eyes, which seem oddly clear and are easy to look at. With icy, sapphire-like blue for irises. Description: Created for a singular purpose to clear Galbar from most life only to retreat back to the northern pole from where they came. The Pronobii are fueled by a siphon much like the White Giants of Toun. However, Reathos added to the design that it would consume the heat and leech nearby life to power the Pronobi even more. Though through intense meditation this effect might be turned off by any Pronobis. Further, they are excellent cryomancers, possessing innate talent towards the crude art. They also have the same type of eyes like Death's Witnesses. In other words, they can see the True Name of any being. Reproduction: Pronobii reproduces by sharing their essence in an act humans considers love making. However, unlike with most species, the tiny newborn does not grow inside either of the two Pronobii. Instead, a part of both their essence is placed within the nearest bit of ice and shapes an egg around it. The egg hatches after 9 to 10 months but must be kept cold. Abilities: Cryomancy. Meaning that her general appearance changes from era to era. However her soul does not go towards the Wraith Stone. Instead it takes over another body, kicking out the soul residing within it first. The only way to know that Nimueh is in fact a hero of Reathos are due to her emerald green eyes. A remnant of Reathos’ control back in her first incarnation. That and her True Name floating above her will forever be Nimueh. Personality: She was reborn rather arrogant. Willing to even challenge a god would it come to that. However, the constant defeat of her people is making her more humble and mature. Though still strong and unyielding. She tries to remain respectful towards those who deserve it. To her best of her abilities she tries to lead her people. However, she is not a born leader and while has a certain charisma, she has no ability to rule. History: Nimueh was among the First Born. Created by Reathos. However her body was taken over by him so he could lead his people. So she gained the title the Great Prophet. In her first incarnation she didn’t do much. Though Reathos built her fame by guiding the Pronobii to true heights of civilization and fighting. Giving them grand gifts and teaching them how to use it. He even made the Black Throne. The next incarnation of Nimueh is more of a warrior. Fighting the chaos hordes though fearing for her people. Her inability to fully unite them continues to be her demise. As she loses settlement after settlement. Special items none Special abilities Cryomancy talent
