And in regards to moar Valkyrie shenanigans...the enemies of the Aesir were the Jotunn, frost giants that inhabited Jotunheim...except they weren't really a flat-out evil race. While Norse mythology does generally want humans to side with the Aesir, all things considered, neither side was flat-out evil.

Hell, it was the Aesir who started the war, so to speak, by ganking the first giant, Ymir. So with that sort of mythology, why exactly does your Valkyrie have something that'd fit an angel more? Christianity's the one that has beings that are flat-out described as evil sons of bitches plotting to screw your wife and eat your baby, not Norse mythology.
