His wife, Arima, I think was her name (have way too many turians in my head), knew he had issues. His childhood reports aren't exactly a secret and she did get the basic gist of them, but didn't understand the depth of the trauma he went through. Hard for anyone to understand that without experiencing it themselves though with the ideas I gave the GMs, some might get the chance. Vellios is rather hard, even for me to predict fully. I think he'll go one way, then randomly he'll take the risk. However, seeing him in a committed relationship is hard and doesn't feel right for him. I think the deep seated reason is he feels like he's staining Arima's, Kilia's, and Tiberian's memory by trying not to be alone. Vellios is patient, very patient like a crocodile which is the scariest aspect of him.
I would love to learn more about Arima. Family connections can usually reveal aspects about a characters that even the character wasn't aware of. Vellios losing his family is an unimaginable hardship, committed relationships after the fact (even with years in between) could very well be right off the table. It would seem jarring for him, as a character, to be interested in commitment. Regardless, I wanna know moar. When I read crocodile I cackled. Anything scaly makes a good comparison note for Turians <3.
