Vellios: "Oh fuck, what bet did I just lose?"
"Considering you were drunk... I couldn't help push you over the edge and see how far you would go. It seems you went pretty far, darlin'."
Yeah. I wouldn't say it's a trump card, but I think it would certainly tilt things in one's favour. Let's just say that it would be a very intense fight, and whoever won still wouldn't be in very good condition afterwards.
True, but my point still stands. I submit to the other stuff really, as there's evidence to some pretty rough customers in that group, and Vellios would likely die if they came down to trying to kill each other, but as you mentioned the one standing would likely never be the same again. He would make sure she couldn't take anyone down easily again and would remember him, namely as he isn't afraid to die really. While he won't know this, he's already scheduled, along with Nas, my wheelchair Cabal, to die within the Reaper Wars while trying to defend a planet from Reapers. This rp is dated at least one or two years before [@Sundered Echo]'s Underworld Mass Effect rp before it died and another year or two before the events of the games. If I came off as aggressive, that wasn't the intention. In addition, I assumed you weren't trying to be either so right now as far as I'm concern this is merely a conversation. To come back to the point for a moment: The bad part about asari is too many people pick them because of that one single reason you mentioned and it becomes rather hard to have any fun in a fight scene if you're automatically going to lose to someone whose lifespan is always older. This logically, for me, also should extend to the NPCs which means Vellios should never take on an asari NPC who is about x amount of age beyond his own because he will lose and die. The bad part... all asari are beyond his age. This limits the rp's variety factor unlike the games and basically forces me into a corner I can't get out of and have to let the other asari on the team handle that threat and handicap Vellios. So, that's mainly my reason for discounting that bit of logic because if I went with it for Tia then any NPC should be allowed the same logic. And yeah, Vellios' usefulness for the team plummets really without her crippling him. I picked turian because honestly, Vellios was fun to make and I wanted a male PC rather than a female.
[@Thundercrash] And that's fair, but I think you might have missed the tone of the conversation, and understand how your reply might have been taken as somewhat antagonizing. I know all too well how nuissance of tone can be lost over test, so no worries, but I definitely want to cut off potential drama before it happens. We're all friends here. Now, Vellios, Tia, kiss. *smashes two dolls together while making childish smooching sounds*
Vellios: "Are you kidding? She might eat my face off..." And sorry Dervish, I wanted to explain my reasoning but it took a bit to write it down and I didn't get up before you forced us to drop the subject. However, while they might end up seriously hurting each other in a real fight I wouldn't mind Tia being a sparring partner later on down the road for him. They could both likely teach each other at least something I hope.
