Salutations, Right now, I'm only seeking one or two partners to work with. I want to be able to give a story the attention it deserves.
************
General Overview
• The RP ideas I have this time around may contain graphic descriptions of violence and use of harsh language. As such, these ideas are intended for people over 18. • I will close and reopen this thread as needed. Please ignore the post count because of this and shoot me a privet message if you're unsure. • I'm looking for someone who can deliver solid storytelling. Typically, my posts tend to be three paragraphs or longer. That said, I'm not concerned so much with length, so long as there is a focus on quality content. It is my hope to facilitate creativity rather than impose restrictions that might limit our story from the jump. Be willing to play multiple genders and characters aside from your main one. • You're not going to catch every little mistake in your writing, just be sure to run a spellcheck and skim for grammar. The main thing is that your writing doesn't feel sloppy or careless. • I wouldn't take it personal if you wanted to quit the RP, but I'd be hesitant to partner up with someone again in the future if they wordlessly vanished. Talk to me- ignore the awful rumors- I don't bite. • Thread/PM/Email doesn't matter to me so long as we keep it organized and don't break any rules. ************
I prefer working with people who...
• have strong opinions and are able to articulate their thoughts on matters early and often. • are intuitive and willing to go out on a limb and take risks. • are [s]high energy[/s] HIGH ENERGY!!!!!! • have a sense of humor. • are confident. Hell, I don't even mind arrogance so long as you can back it up with skill. • are willing to expand on ideas. • are willing to be unflinchingly honest. Unless you tell me to, I don't take things personally. • take some ownership of the story. My ideas are only starting points, I want you to feel like you have equal creative control of the project. Reign me in if you have to!
About me...
• I enjoy lists. ************
Wish List
I'll bump each time I update this list or if an opening becomes available Partly Plump Plots

Infinity Below Zero
The story will center around a pair of scientists living amongst a small cluster of subantarctic islands. One is an ecologist and seasoned cold weather tactician. The other is a prodigy in the field of robotics. Each of them was carefully selected to participate in an isolated study at a new micro-facility built on one of the unnamed islands. Perhaps that was part of what appealed to them. "Don't get me wrong, it doesn't pay well- and it's a frozen wasteland, but you get to name it anything you want," the line had enough static to make the voice on the other end seem far, far, away. "Then when you name it, it'll be your frozen wasteland. Unless you discover something that we think is valuable, you can pretty much do what you want out there." Never did get an explanation for that last part. "You're allowed one to bring one personal item. Anything that can fit into your bag, but nothing alive, no weapons, and no drugs. Your partner will be a professional of the same caliber. Go. Go and explore, and do science. The facility is spacious- more than enough room for two." The micro-facility, referred to as "The Nest", was indeed built for two. A micro two; there was a small oven, one bedroom with a thick curtain divider, one bathroom with a limited tank of water, and two large workbenches. Most obvious in the dome-like structure was the large wall of monitors and spread of dials and switches; to the left stood a very large glass tube with what looks to be two metallic bodysuits suspended by unapparent means...a bit of masking tape pressed to the glass reads, simply: "Essential" The first challenge will be to perfect these suits for arctic exploration and traverse the small cluster of islands. Both must document their findings and report back regularly. Rations and supplies are sent by airdrop every month and communications with superiors are done via video conference calls. An airtight non-disclosure agreement prevents any outside contact. Time passes, and it becomes increasingly apparent to them that the ice might not be all they have to worry about. The tone of their conversations had slowly shifted with their superiors. Indeed, it was uncanny how the option of returning home had quietly been taken off the table. The study's end date had become a taboo subject to bring up in meetings. When their monthly plane misses it's drop point by miles. How many times are they willing to consider it a mistake? Once. Twice. Three times... Things could get ugly for them fast. "Isolation can act like a real ugly breeding ground for paranoia. There'll be times when you'll be able to cut tensions between you with a knife. Take deep breaths and try not to murder each other with the ice picks. Or knives."
Exploring the islands leads to the discovery of strange holes in the ice. Each one of them containing it's own distinct ecosystem...
Rules • This is an optional subplot to the story. Each of us would take turns creating settings that the other will blindly navigate and explore. A hole can literally contain anything. Go nuts. • Similar to a minigame within the larger story, each trip into a hole will be a bite-sized adventure. The person going in blind will set the pace of how long the story takes place in the other person's imagined setting. • Details about the various settings are to be kept secret until discovered, however once areas are explored we are allowed to keep a log of our discoveries and create beacons to revisit certain settings. • When it is your turn to create a setting, the primary goal is to make it interactive and compelling. If both of our characters choose to explore the same place, the creator must be careful to not give away any obvious spoilers for the exploring partner. No need to ask for permission. It's not like I'm royalty or anything- perish the thought!
