The sage continued at length about her order and how she was most likely the last of her people. She explained more about the artifact in question, and the gravity of the situations that it could cause if put in the wrong hands. She then spoke of a traitor, to which Emil immediately looked up at her with attention, concern. Could one of the Heroes of Waeldeshore have been a traitor? The idea of any of the heroes from Waeldeshore being untrustworthy or unnoble spat in the face of almost all of the stories he had heard about them in his childhood. He shot a glance of doubt at Sir Hepburnberg for a moment, before quickly shaking his head and dashing all the unease from his mind. Impossible, Sir Hepburnberg was a model soldier, a man that countless young men from both Waeldeshore and Edessa looked up to. Just because one of the heroes had become corrupted didn't mean that the rest of them would be. Some of the others discussed the identity of the traitor. Emil noticed the beast-kin staring him down, and almost shrank in his seat. The stare was unnerving, inhuman, and rested on him for several moments before the beast-kin Sakaala asked Sir Hepburnberg questions regarding the rogue hero. Unlike the others, the man Ajax comparatively seemed unconcerned by the notion of the traitor. In fact, he seemed rather unimpressed by the entire situation, requesting further information about their possible monetary gain and their exact duties regarding their foes. If it weren't for the fact that he bore no weapons and wore no armor, Emil might have written him off as every other sellsword in the land. And while the man Ajax certainly had his points, he had all the subtlety of a charging lancer crashing through a library. Emil continued listening to the others, deciding not to put his own input in this time- he had no desire to appear ignorant or misguided about the current goings on, and didn't know enough about the situation to just spout out his own opinions.
