She glanced at her comrades but none of them seemed too eager to react in any way. One of the guys in uniforms asked Yvette and the other woman about what to do, not having any bright ideas of his own. The girl moved to the side of the ATV and placed a hand on its side. The good thing about living steel was that it was a good conductor of magic and as such a wall posed no real barrier for her magic. Letting a tiny bit of it bleed through the wall and out of the machine, she used the wind outside to gain information on the number and position of the people outside.
[@Wind Wild]I'm not sure how I feel about this. I understand your character is all about the wind magic bit, but having it act as an omnipresent detection system through a vehicle is a little, not to be crude, but bullshit. Wind magic is not an extension of your body, but a force you manipulate and control, and a spell detecting the specific number, positioning, and especially movement of people, would be a different form of awareness entirely. For example, GM Tex's character has this ability...
Primary Focus: Arcane Magical Capabilities: -Brian can 'feel' the aura around him due to his unique arcane network 'expanding' beyond his flesh's limitation. This modification is due to a tradition wherein a boy or girl's parents pulls very negligible portions of their child's network beyond the body's limitations, and teaches them to maintain this procedure for the rest of their childhood. This allows him to feel arcane disturbances, and physical entities within a respectable 4 yards of his body. -Brian can expel even more arcane energy from his body, expanding his perception of physical obstructions and arcane disturbances up to a kilometer from his position. This requires immense focus, and does not allow him to see, or detail anything within his range beyond shape and sound.
And while that radius is certainly further than what you're doing right now, it's a little too precise and out of line to make sense. I'll let it be used to see that "Are there people? Yes. Are they moving? Yes." But not a specification on numbering or positioning.
