It's less messy and smoother to use along with a lot more reliable than conventional ballistic weapons. The rifle can be modified to support fully automatic, sniper mode, sub-machinegun mode and even squad automatic weapon type. 

Another good thing with the weapon is that it lasts for quite a long time before the need to change power cells arise, the downside is that they are extremely rare to find outside of the Space Faction forces. 

This is the reason that she carries a sword strapped to her back. While the sword can be charged using power cells to make it's cutting power a lot stronger, it works as a conventional sword as well. [/hider]

[b]Faction:[/b] Space Faction, undercover as a Merc

[b]Skills:[/b] Weapon diversity training. She is quite versed in using different weapon modes on her rifle, however she has only shot a ballistic weapon once during training.

[b]Genetic enhancements:[/b] Improved conditioning, making her able to run for long periods of time. Also makes her require less sleep.

[b]Personality:[/b] She has a no-bullshit kind of personality fitting her rank, but that is just due to her rank. Under the surface is a cheerful, even if quite stern woman with a warm heart. She has trouble containing her disdain for the Martians though along with their simple ways. She misses Earth and wants to get this deployment over with so that she can go back home again.

[b]Bio:[/b] Born on June 28th on planet Earth, Jane Kelly joined the expeditionary forces heading for Mars to reinforce the so called "Space Faction". There was a strong sense of duty within her, a duty towards her country and her planet. The recent instabilities on Mars had to be quelled for the sake of Earth. If the planet became unstable, how would they get their materials?
 
Earth was already over populated and emptying of resources, Mars was their last chance after the Moon colony. Who knew how long it would take to colonize more worlds? Earth was out of time, and they needed the precious resources now. And thus Kelly joined up. 

Her mission was one of a frontline soldier, utilizing the advanced weapons of her planet against the savages of Mars. Even though they made what they could with what they had, in comparison they were not even close to what she had back home.

She felt regret about killing, but in some cases it was a must, at least that's what she told herself. Not long before the attack on the Plastic Faction city she had been notified that she would relocate towards Party City, setting up camp there. Once set up, she was tasked with infiltrating the local factions, the call for Mercs, was the perfect cover.
