Not getting anything but relations will start breaking down when a hero (or worse a demigod) reaches the end of their natural lifespan and Reathos/ The Knights of the Eternal Slumber come to carry out the natural order. Depending on the god(s) offended, immediate war may break out or a spiteful feud would ensue. Were it Vakarlon, he'd start his retribution by going around destroying Wells of Souls and attacking the champions of Reathos through direct and indirect measures. For an example of indirect measures, he might try cursing the entire Order of Knights with extremely bad luck to the point where Murphy's Law truly applies to them. Vakarlon is actually a likeable sort but the Fiery One Within is very vengeful. Once divine blood gets spilled there will be upheaval for sure.
I like it. Cursed by all gods yet blessed by death. Also, Reathos will probably call out some gods for hypocrism. No doubt Logos will cheer if a hero of Vestec bites the dust. But will be angry when one of his own must pass. Also completely destroying the Wells will release all dead souls upon the world. Proooobably not a good idea. (And they will be defended)
Very good point. Although we don't know if Reathos wants to use the base critter's lifespan. If so, only demigods with two divine parents would be safe.
He MIGHT try to find a way to see when a demi-god born from 2 gods must die. But yes, a demi-god born from 2 gods has far more chance to live a very long life than anything else. A lesser demi-god's life span would probably be dictated by the lifespan of his non-god parent + some more years because granted, he's a demi-god.
