Mystique opened her PLTs and saw the classes and signed up for all of them. She wondered if she wanted to take all of the classes or not. She went to the Non-Magical Floor for Meditation 3. Once there she waved at Lady Violetta and got her mat to sit on. She took her PLTs with her so that she could finish a couple things in it before class. Thomas had a dozen sitting mats on a table ready for his students to choose from. Once everyone had arrived, Thomas began. “Welcome to Meditation Class. Everyone get a mat please. Choose one that you would like to keep. There are many colors and patterns. Then place your mat in a semi-circle around me.” Thomas spoke softly as if he hated to break the silence of the quiet of the room. He was sitting down in a Lotus Position. “Once you are comfortable on the mat, we will be ready to start. Good. In this class we will begin to focus on a single thing and learn not to pay any attention to outside noises. Learning how to block out various noises is not as easy to do as one thinks. Sure for a short time a person can block out noises but how long can you block out noises? We will find out in this class. Everyone please clear your mind and look at the nice red apple in the middle of the room. Not very hard to concentrate on it, right? Let’s see you concentrate on the nice red apple until I say stop. Ready, set go.” Thomas sat there seemingly not moving and barely breathing. “Stop. This class is to introduce you to how to concentrate better and longer. Today’s lesson is to show you how a minor thing such as a growling tummy can interrupt your concentration. For your homework, please write in your Meditation Diary, what your lesson was, how you felt during meditation and what you have learned. Unless you have any questions, you are dismissed to put your mat away in your cubby hole and for breakfast.” Thomas spoke calmly. “Good morning, class. Welcome to your last Meditation Class. You may always come up here to meditate if you want to. Let us begin. You have learned how little things such as a growling stomach can affect your concentration, how to focus with and without various noises. You have learned how to reorganize your brain and clean up clutter in your brain. Now you will learn how to make a Sanctuary where you can escape into. Let us start by opening our Mediation Diary on your PLTs. We will be doing things differently today because we need to think about our Sanctuary. After this short lecture, you may do your own Meditation. I want you to think about where you feel the most comfortable at. It does not matter where it is. Write down in your Meditation Diary where it is, how you feel when you are there, what is surrounding you, what noises do you hear. You will need to think about each little detail surrounding you. Put down what bothers you there and what does not bother you. Be as specific as possible. Once you have this information jotted down in your Meditation Diary, you may either work on that project or meditate. If you wish to speak to me, I will be at my desk. You may now begin.” Lady Violetta spoke calmly then went to her desk.
