Lady Avalon took her wand out and wrote in the symbol for Fire in the air. 
“The first thing to always remember is:
All the magics have their ups and downs. 
The first elemental magic that we will study is Fire. To have a fire you must have 3 things. An air source, a material source and a source of heat as seen in this Fire Triangle. Not enough of the Air or Material or Heat will not let the Fire start Burning. If you happen to get too much of one of them, the Fire will not start. To start a good Fire, all three things must be in the correct amount.”

“Something to remember about this Core Element is that You can manipulate fire, adding heat and light to what you do, you both weaken shadows, and melt ice, as well as burn other organisms. However, a strong wind, or ample water or earth can snuff you out.
Let’s try the Experiment. Here is a candle. Try lighting it without a match. Then put the candle out without blowing. Please write down your results in your PLTs.”

“Today we will look at the loss of a Dragon Partner of a Dragon. This does not happen very often because if one dies, a well bonded mate will die as well.
Sometimes a dragon loses its partner and will look for another partner. Or perhaps a wild dragon will need a mate and desires your own dragon. This usually is during the teen years. This is one reason why a teen will rebel against the handler and will want to leave 'home'. It is thought to better to allow the teen dragon to leave than trying to control a resentful dragon.
Perhaps another dragon will want to live with you out of curiosity. It might stay or not. It is thought that it would be best to accept it to the extent of your own ability and room. Usually a compromise can be made.
