Short Biography: Ethan grew up as a normal boy, going to school, playing football and videogames. When he reached secondary school he became interested in Space, it attracted him more then anything. This strong attraction made him study all possible spaceships from Battlecruisers to Recon and Courier vessels. He studied planets and extra terrestrials Like the Tok'ra and Goa'uld. Learned about their cultures and ways of living. Not less important he learned what kind of weapons, shields and tactics they used in battle. That part interested him in particular and he made a full study of it. When Ethan reached the age of 18 he enrolled in the army as a Tactical Supervisor at the remote artillery unit. Working his way trough the ranks he eventually became head of the Remote Artillery unit and in charge of the R.S.P. (Remote Shield Project). Not long thereafter Ethan became Second in command of the Tactical Support unit, providing cover fire from long range and placing shields by Remote control. Having done this for several years with outstanding results he felt the time has come to take it to the next level. He wanted something new, as this could not be found at earth he took on yet another study and applied for the function of Weapons and Shields Officier at project Tempest, with recommendations of his Commanding Officer.[/quote]

What's a weapons & Shields officer? Is it just the Weapons Officer field from the Tempest crew hider in OoC post 1?

When did he start studying Tok'ra/Goa'uld and real alien tech? The SG program is still secret, after all. we get the impression that was studied before he joined armed forces? Or is that a misunderstanding from our part?
