Riley glared at Ellie with an expression of general interest as the girl explained her story, soon Riley's facial expressions would match the tone of the impending conversation, she couldn't help but feel bad for the girl over losing one of the only thing that was important in her life, while listening quietly Riley began to panic in her own mind, her memories of her abusive parents spiralling inside her mind, quickly bringing flashbacks of traumatic moments and knowing that she would have to briefly acknowledge them to make conversation. Taking in a small gasp of air and allowing her eyes to focus upon Ellie's once more, she would bring herself to speak. "Pennsylvania? Wow.. Uh.. That's really far away and all, I'm.. Sorry about your parents." She'd put simply and sweetly, offering some attempt of comfort through the simplicities of a small smile. Riley would then think about what she was going to say, she really didn't want to bring up the past and for all she knew so far was that this girl was still a complete stranger to her, with her sudden insecurities building up she'd stutter and freeze up before eventually giving in and explaining slightly. "I.. Ran away from abusive parents.. I.. Uh.. Yeah, that was about a month ago." She'd say before falling completely silent and hoping to drift off to a different topic of conversation. Riley would watch as Ellie would pass her some water, with a gentle shake of her head she'd pass it back to the girl with a smile. "No, No.. Heh.. I uh, I already have a bottle of water in my pack, you need this more than I do... But eh.. Thank you." She'd say with a smile, letting out a gentle giggle. "So uhm.. I've never been to Vegas.. It's about Three-Four hours away by car?" She'd say with an unsure tone, taking the first package of information that came to her mind. Riley rarely trusted anybody, but something about this girl made her want to follow her to the edge of the earth.
