[@The Irish Tree] According to the OP, whether your immortality is permanent or based on conditions is up to the god who makes you a hero to determine, so it could. I feel that some gods, like Zephyrion (God of [i]Change[/i]), might forgo making your immortality dependent on your loyalty.
