Time for Eri to be a hero now, and maybe the Dunk Lord too
Eri's stomach churned as he looked over his options yet again. It was the quest window again, and from past experience it had only brought him strife. He'd entered Yar and the quest window had appeared, and he'd spent a while mulling over what to do. Which one do I choose... He thought. He'd had bad experiences with medium quests, so maybe he should go for the easy dungeon quest... But he'd leveled up now so maybe medium quests would be easier? Unless it was the kind of system were difficulty actually changed with level and it would've been hard before... He felt like crying again. Between the time he'd died and the time now, he'd only gotten a gold-trim basketball and that wasn't exactly reassuring. He didn't know what his class did or if leveling up had even done anything for him... Maybe he could just not take a quest and live his new life in peaceful bliss... But some part of him didn't want that. He didn't know why but he wanted to do a quest. He wanted to see all there was to see in the world, the New World, and maybe one day stand high above it, seeing how far he'd come... "Ah, maybe I should find a friend..." He said. That made sense to him. If he wasn't able to do much alone, maybe he should have someone else. Perhaps he'd been lonely once when he couldn't remember, but as soon as he thought about having a friend he knew he couldn't do without one. But well, who was going to be his friend? Two of their party were already together and he felt like he might be intruding on something if he joined them. It looked like it wouldn't matter to Mimori whether she had friends or not... Which meant that left only Ranca. Even though she looked fine on her own Eri felt like she should have people around her. Maybe if he joined her it could start something. He walked behind her and tugged hesitantly on her shirt(jacket... thing?) "E-E-Excuse me!" He squeaked out. "C-Can I come with you? Please?" [@Rin]
