Name: Jay Donovan Akiyama-Salinas Nickname: Prince Age: 32 Gender: Male Ethnicity: Filipino Rank: Captain Role: Team Leader Appearance:

Jay, for all intents and purposes, is one of those officers that are almost casual in how they appear. For ten years in the military, four tours in Afghanistan, retiring and working his way up in the San Fransisco SWAT, he is almost an aura of enthusiasm and exuberance. Standing at 6'4, a lean swimmers build and a suave face, he says that he's ladies man outside of missions, not that anyone believes him. His body is so scarred that people thought he was dropped into a pit of knives when he was young. Always the joker, swearing lightly even in polite conversation and the type to say "f***k you!" as a greeting, compliment and an insult, he's an enigma to the higher ups that he works for. Many question the head of the FBI's choice to choose him of all the qualified men and women they had on staff. He is usually seen leaning on things, complaining and whining about uncomfortable uniforms. In operations however, it is like a switch is flipped inside of him. He turns into a cool, calm headed, intelligent individual with a knack for leading and shooting the bad guys. Under fire, the mixture of this attitude and his experience, he never fails to make the wrong decision. Usually leading from the front, he is seen layering covering fire for his team to come through a door or go around a corner. In a firefight, his face is serious but relaxed, stance ready but at ease. But when the boots come off, the helmet hung on the rack, the goofball they all know and love (well, hate) comes back. The man who purposefully tattooed a stripper's name and phone number on his arse. In-Depth Personality: Well, Prince is called that because of how... "unroyal" he is outside of operations. Coarse, rude, goofing around constantly, doing "non-captain-like" things. He is the direct opposite of a prince outside of battle. Not one to back away from innuendos, he has a laid-back, relaxed aura to him. He always seemed happy, never looking down once and heightens the morale of those who aren't annoyed by him. Sarcastic and downright funny at times, he is the joker of the group. Adding to this, he is also a peacemaker. When there are any disputes between any of his team members, he always tries to hear both sides of the argument, trying to be fair. A problem of his are first impressions. To the wig heads, Jay seems to be the perfect example of what a Jarhead is. Seemingly dumb, swearing beefcake who thought that being a Captain meant he would get all the chicks in the nightclub. To some extent, that is true although it is certainly misrepresentative of how he leads in battle. Another problem is that he is too emotionally connected with a team. When you're an officer, you must take tough calls. And those calls are made even tougher if you are actual friends to the people you work with. Character background: Jay was born in the ghettos of San Fransisco. Though damaged by ruthless gangs and drug lords, the area is still prospering, due to a hard people and damn good police. Born into the streets, little Jay didn't know much about his biological parents. At the age of four, he was dropped on the steps of the head of a once powerful gang in the San Fran area. Johnny Salinas, the so called "Last 8th Street Demon", a title that have confused many people who weren't aware of the name, was definitely surprised when he saw a small, sniffling child on his doorstep. He sighed, his cold eyes renewed by the sight of such youthfulness. "Ahh, you are like me, eh? Left behind, sticking around while people move on. You're a loner like me." Johnny, then a comparatively young 44 year old, scratched his beard. "How about us two loners hang out for a while." The Filipino man took the young baby in. This changed both of their lives, for better or for worse? Well, depends on your perspective. The years spent in the Akiyama household flew by, it was the childhood Jay would never have had really. His life became a happy blur and his days turn into a routine. He dropped into a routine with his technically adoptive father. He wakes up at 7:00 every morning and jogs around the block. When he arrives at 7:15, he will usually have to spray water at Johnny to wake him up for Iaido training. If the man was with Aleina, a comparatively young Caucasian woman that could be called Johnny's girlfriend and someone who Jay affectionately called mother despite the bone crushing hugs he receives afterwards, he would drag his surrogate father out of bed and cover Aleina's modesty.  After an hour of training with Johnny, Jay gets ready for school. This early morning routine repeated day after day, not that he minded. Until one day. He returned from his final day of High School. The school he attended wasn't bad, it was quite an alright school. He wanted to tell his father about his test results. He had studied for the test extremely hard with Aleina, having wanted to become some sort of biologist when he grew up. It was something to strive for, so worked he did. Graduation was also a blast. He entered the living room to see a horrifying sight. Johnny had committed suicide. At least that's what it seemed like. A letter was on the ground next to his dead body.  If you are reading this, then I am dead. I have gone the honourable way, the way of the 8th Street. I do hope that you who are reading this is Aleina, not my son. Aleina, you are my love and the only woman that could ever stand being with me. Take care of Jay for me please? Jay, if you are reading this, I am sorry. I cannot live with living this life anymore. Being a loner. Forgotten by the world. The word 8th Street was supposed to be a feared name and I ruined it by continuing my cowardly ways. My dad was a premier Demon and my whole heritage hailed from 8th Street. Really, if you think about it, there is no place in the galaxy for a Demon. This galaxy needs something better. I beg you to be a better man than I was, finish school, get a job. If you don't, you're rejecting a dead man's wish :P. Hugs, kisses and all that shit. Johnny.   Jay left the scene of the seppuku, openly crying and breaking down, calling the local hospital to pick Johnny's body up. He assumed that Aleina hadn't come back from work so he didn't bother with going to her, only leaving a small note on the door. She wouldn't like what the boy was going to do, and he didn't have the courage to deny her to her face. He scoured the city looking for a job, eventually arriving at a military recruitment centre. He signed up almost immediately. His father told him to be a better man. Then so be it, he shall do the complete opposite. And he doubted that the law&border department would allow the son of the most notorious gangster in the ghetto to be in their ranks. Transferring from the relaxed and lazy lifestyle of his civilian life to the highly disciplined life of a soldier was certainly difficult. As a marine, he served four tours, gaining the rank of Captain after several years of fighting. He eventually quit his job as a soldier and went for SWAT, eventually gaining the rank of Officer in the FBI. He was deeply involved in the Bureau and offered the job of leading Taskforce TRIDENT. Wanting to blow up some "fucking right-wing dickholes", he immediately joined and is currently the highest ranking Officer in the team.
