Mel's voice rang out as she stopped Kili from trying to run the other way, forcing him and Maleficent to walk back towards the rest of the group which was already surrounded by the rest of the patrol. "Search them!" she ordered the other elves, who began to talk amongst themselves as they searched the group over, confiscating any of the weapons that they had.

"Legolas, hir nin (my Lord)!" called out one, who had taken Orcrist from Thorin. He bowed his head respectfully to the prince and held out the sword for him to take. The elf had recognised it being of elvish make and thought it rather odd that a dwarf would be carrying it.
