Elrond took the group, which consisted of Gandalf, Thorin and Balin, up a rather long flight of stairs which led behind one of the waterfalls of the city. There, he walked until they came to an outcrop of rock that jutted out into the open air. On this ledge sat a large round pedestal, which looked to be made of a crystal of some sort. "Here we are." he announced, glancing back to Thorin he held his hand out expectantly for the map. "If you would hand me the map, Thorin."
