I’ve decided to basically convert a few of my ideas in the Maximum Comics continuity and put them to solo text to see how well it translates when I’m in a vacuum with only me and my thoughts/ambitions.

[b][u]BRIEF TIMELINE[/u][/b]
[color=darkgray][indent][b]FALL 1941[/b] — Captain America is created as the result of an OSS program called [i]Project Rebirth[/i]. Following his first appearance the “Golden Age” of Superheroes begins.

[b]WINTER 1945[/b] — Captain America defeats the [i]Red Skull[/i] but is lost in the process; several months later World War II finally ends.

[b]FALL 1948[/b] — [i]SHIELD[/i] is founded.

[b]WINTER 1964[/b] — The “Silver Age” of Superheroes begins when The [i]Justice Society of America[/i] is founded.

[b]FALL 1978[/b] — The Justice Society of America disbands due to majority vote from the members after an incident and increasing political regulations.

[b]WINTER 1982[/b] — The gene responsible for the development of mutant powers in certain individuals is isolated and is dubbed the “x-gene”.

[b]SPRING 1988[/b] — The public opinion of mutants has been warped, in part, by religious extremists calling themselves the [i]Purifiers[/i]. They use their numbers to cause anti-mutant sentiment which ignites a series of civil rights riots.

[b]SPRING 1990[/b] — [i]Charles Xavier[/i] founds the Institute for Higher Learning in North Salem, New York.

[b]WINTER 1997[/b] — The “Bronze Age” of Superheroes begins with the debut of both Superman and Batman.

[b]SUMMER 1998[/b] — An experimental space project headed by Professor [i]Reed Richards[/i] is launched and sets in motion the events that would create the [i]Fantastic Four[/i].

[b]WINTER 1999[/b] — Using “outside of the box” thinking [i]Dick Grayson[/i] deduces the culprit of a serial arson case and debuts as [i]Robin[/i], Batman's partner.

[b]WINTER 2000[/b] — Superman discovers [i]Kara-El[/i], another Kryptonian. In time she becomes known as [i]Supergirl[/i].

[b]SPRING 2001[/b] — [i]Victor Von Doom[/i] establishes the [i]Latverian Union[/i] to strengthen and unify Eastern Europe under his banner. His technological genius brings many third and second world countries to major contenders on the world level.

[b]WINTER 2002[/b] — A SHIELD hyper-maximum security prison is attacked and destroyed by a new generation of HYDRA soldiers. The former Director of SHIELD is killed in action; he is succeeded by [i]Nick Fury[/i]. The attack is followed by a terrorist broadcast of the resurgence of the Red Skull.

[b]FALL 2002[/b] — [i]Commander Zod[/i], a surviving kryptonian, attacks Earth after refusing Superman's terms. This becomes known as the Kryptonian Invasion.

[b]FALL 2002[/b] — Nick Fury creates the [i]Avengers Initiative[/i] known as [i]STRIKE[/i] in the shadow of the invasion to create a SHIELD-mandated team for dangerous scenarios. SWORD is also founded.

[b]WINTER 2003[/b] — Lex Luthor founds the [i]Justice League of America[/i] under one of his subsidiaries, [i]Infinity Incorporated[/i].

[b]WINTER 2005[/b] — Present Date.[/indent][/color]
