One describes an action and another is doing it. Because words themselves are a part of language, you cannot go through the thought process of writing them without the actual "action" itself being a part of you. I can think about a murder without being a murderer. I can think about a liar without being a liar. I can't think of and reasonably portray someone who swears without swearing because of the fact that it utilizes language itself. If I have a character that would swear (Misty, really), I just put that as an action symbol with the word "Swears" as the action.
