[@SgtEasy] You are making Valentians to be too much of a pushovers. They are a kingdom with probably the strongest army, man to man. We are talking about a country which manages to successfully wage war to contain the advancement of Celestial Kingdom that has 4 times its population, crusade to reclaim old imperial capital from the undead and continuously put pressure on Langua and some other kingdoms through border skirmishes and privateering. 

When I suggest "behind enemy lines" scenario for Leon I was talking about being something like historical Uskoks or Cossacks, not an army which almost managed to take Valentian capital, even if it was a suicidal rush.
