Tauriel hesitated slightly, then hurried after him. "What about your cousin?!" "Why are you here?" Bofur asked Mel warily as he tried to dodge around the she-elf. "To help." Mel answered. "If you wanted to help you'd get out of my way." protested Bofur. "I have to get back to Kili! He's wounded!" "I know, and it's my fault. I'm sorry, let me come back with you. There will be more Orcs. I can fend them off." Mel offered. "They are after your leader, Oakenshield." Balin walked with Bilbo to the beginning of the tunnel that led down into the main hall where the dragon was sleeping. "So let me get this right, you want me to find a jewel?" the hobbit looked at him. "A large, white jewel, yes." Balin clarified. "Well, is...is that it?" Bilbo frowned. "I mean, I imagine there's plenty of those down there." he pointed down the tunnel as he said it. "There is only one Arkenstone." Balin insisted. "And you'll know it when you see it."
