[/quote] Honestly I just wrote it as I saw him. Like it felt right to give the god of death an aura of life-leeching. I hope that doesn't bother anyone. But as for official reason. As god of death he leeches life around him involuntarily. Think of it as a really nasty passive he can't turn off. Also, plants get affected rather fast, but for animal life to die because of his aura it takes a little longer (think about 5 minutes, probably gets shorter with levels). Also, making sure all beings meet their Fated End is a personal [s]obsession [/s] rule. He could in theory just start killing everything in sight (causing an extinction...) but his personal code prohibits him from doing so.
