A Patchwork World is a RP in which the players are openly invited to assist in the creation of the world at large to varying degrees. One may choose either to simply create a character to live in this world and develop its story, or one may choose to create the world around the players. If one chooses to, they may do both. While there will be a process for the creation of lore, it will not be detailed here, but instead in the Lore thread.

The overall system, which will be split between this post and the first post of the Lore thread, will henceforth be known as LATS. While the Lore section of LATS is not necessary for normal play in Patchwork, the Player Accountability and Setting systems are of particular importance. Additionally, the Tier system is important, but more for reference than anything else.
