     [color=ed1c24][b]<Personality:/>[/b][/color]  Nick is, above all, a [color=39b54a]favorite of the 'morally righteous'[/color] in the degrading moral conditions of New Ancora.  His political standpoints revolve around the decreasing of drug-trafficking and gang activity.  Despite his inability to significantly affect the situations regarding both of these issues, it is the [color=39b54a]genuine[/color] and courageous nature of Nick's actions that gain him much of his not entirely insignificant political power.  He is incredibly [color=39b54a]straight-forward[/color], seemingly unafraid of the repercussion that as powerful a thing as speech might conduce.  However, he is actually rather [color=39b54a]cautious[/color] in his political manuevering, despite what his national image may portray.  He is careful to tread the line between an outspoken politician and a dead one.  Because of his expertise in this Nick has survived in New Ancora, and thrived. 

Nick is said to be one of the least vote-driven politicians.  His actions are consistent in nature, deviating very little to appear favorable to the masses of the public.  Instead, he focuses on keeping a consistent level of popularity.  Such actions have earned him the image of being fairly [color=39b54a]predictable[/color], but no less noble.  It is not unpredictability that has gained him the nickname [color=39b54a]"[b]Saint Nick[/b]"[/color] amongst his followers, however, but his obstinate integrity, a fact he understands quite well.  On the other side of the coin, his political opponents' declaration that Nick would condone outright war on organized crime, regardless of cost, gives him his second, less favorable name: [center]"[color=ed1c24][b]Red[/b][/color]"[/center]  
 

Aside from his main political endeavors, he also seems to slightly favor a movement back to [color=00a651]structured, widespread religion[/color].  This, being a rather unpopular view in New Ancora, has cost Nick no small amount of support from both colleagues and the public.  It has also kept Nick alive by limiting the level of threat he poses to the organized crime that he so adamantly opposes.  Between surviving the gangs of New Ancora and keeping up his political image, Nick seemingly has little time for any sort of personal life.   

           [color=ed1c24][b]<Biography:/>[/b][/color] Nick grew up quite different than the typical politician.  Growing up in Beta was difficult to say the least.  Rather than the silver spoon, Nick often ate with the palm of the hand.  A loathsome utensil, but as anything else, Nick was quick to discover its potential, and in doing so, his own.  By a young age Nick realized that power was not important, but everything.  It was taught to him in the slums when his size intimidated potential threats into picking a new target.  It was brought to his attention the first time he had to utilize his smarts to steal and survive.  It was embraced by him the first time he tasted 'L'.    

Nick also discovered the dangers of power early on.  When the gang boss he worked for as a child was brutally murdered by rivals.  When a person above his station died a mysterious, gruesome death.  When a particularly violent officer 'accidentally' met his end.  All of this and more proved a vital key in Nick's rise to the political arena.  Throughout this period of his life, power shaped his ideals, who he was, and who he would become.  
  
The restructuring of morality when influenced by power is a curious thing.  Often times, even the best of men will choose to justify the means through the end.  Nick's success in politics was owed simply to being ahead of the curve.  He knew, absolutely, wholeheartedly, that morality, true morality, could not thrive in an endeavor for power such as his.  He discarded it, leaving only the shell, a complex lie of ethics that now represented his entire public image.  An image that meant everything, yet nothing.

To be truly successful, truly powerful, would require more than the simple political maneuvering necessary to stay afloat in as simple and unrewarding a game as politics.  Nick used his government positioning wisely to secure power on both the shrinking moral populace and the ever-growing criminal side through narcotics.  Knowledge of the governmental factions of corrupt and honorable assisted him in his work.  Thus his acquired power bred more power.

Nick continued to expand his influence, keeping his secret life as an 'L' distributor hidden behind a shield of charitable ventures to the Beta zone and a perfect political integrity.  He continued his endeavor to become as powerful as possible in the hopes of achieving one end.

In his collection of mixed experiences with power, Nick learned a respectful reverence for what he saw as an end to all injustice and dystopia within society; ultimate and limitless power.  Such has been the hidden goal of the lesser politician; his attempt to become, in essence, a god, and end the suffering of those similar to what his childhood contained.         
           
                   [color=ed1c24][b]<Other:/>[/b][/color] Although allowed into District 0 for governmental purposes, Nick chooses to reside in Alpha to surround himself with those who he is popular among.  On occasion, he can be found in Avalon, observing the people with which he can most identify.  The rest of his time is consumed by politics.

As a child, Nick was alone.  His parents were both killed in a misunderstanding involving gang members.  Their cumulative wealth was just enough to get Nick an education.  The rest of his livelihood depended on his own willingness to work among those who had, at least, an indirect link to his parents' death.  

Nick has had wonderful results in his outreaching to the narcotics community simply because of his extreme caution with regard to the government.  He has never dealt in person, never even dealt with people that deal in person.  In the narcotics underworld, he is unknown other than by the name
