- Why do you care about the team? Probably because he's had the "leader of men" part of Joel's "what is a superhero" dogma drilled into his head. - We defeated a dangerous enemy. Who or what was it? Don't have many ideas for this one. But I can certainly guess who it wasn't: Headhunter. The man who gave Black Condor (the guy who is essentially the Batman of our city/world) so much trouble would be wasted if we treated him as an offscreen first-time villain. - We destroyed our surroundings in the fight. Where was it? What did we destroy? Ummm..... good question. Maybe it was some kind small scale holding facility for a few supervillains that used the opportunity to escape? Would give the team an early goal to reach: catch the guys they accidentally helped escape. - We didn't trust each other at first, but that changed. How? Why? Well I can't speak for everyone, but for Max I would suspect it has to do with the lineage of his Legacy. Rex often stepped into a leadership/commanding role during many of his missions and battles during WWII and part of the "tradition" of the Legacy is to step up and be a leader when needed. So if I had to guess, those instincts probably kicked in a bit during whatever our first battle was. - We saved the life of someone important, either to the city, or to us. Who was it? Why are they important? Um... the mayor? I can imagine someone like that taking what we did and using it to promote their mayoral campaign. Not to mention we'd be off to a potentially awkward start as we're having to deal with our initial "15 minutes of fame" on top of getting our shit together as a team. - We paid a high cost for victory. What was it? As a connection to one of my above suggestions, if what we destroyed was some kind of villain holding facility, then the cost of our win was that a bunch of villains were able to escape. - All things considered, we did well and impressed an established hero. Who was it? Silver Hawk. That one's a no-brainer. He's probably the one that "encouraged" (pressured, some might even say) both Max and Kiante into making this team a thing in the first place, knowing him. I know he's technically not doing the super hero thing any more, but he would make more sense than Black Condor, who I imagine is the kind of who isn't easily impressed (he's based somewhat on Batman after all).
