There wasn't any harm in letting him do some of the work if he offered, and he knew that pushing the mage in her current state would do more harm than good too, and she may still have her uses, even if she had relations with elves. Oin had Gloin make a light out of some kindling that they burned, and had him bring it over so they could see, with Oin pulling back the bandage. "Are you sure you can manage to stitch it yerself, lass?" he asked in concern. It was a rather awkward angle after all, though he didn't have much experience with stitching himself and he wasn't sure he would manage to do it, he meant well by asking what he did.
