[@Ermine]That could work, a guy with little power that did his best, than got caught in something way above his skill level. My thought is that he'd always had the technopathy, but it had been so minor that he just thought he was good with computers and that was it. However, as he was dying, his powers would begin to kick into overdrive in an effort to keep him alive,looking for any and all material that could help, basically causing him to absorb the alien technology and grafting it into his bones, organs, even his very DNA. This would make him kind of like a cyborg, but more like an organic machine. However, it'll be a rebirth kind of thing, in which it'll seem like he died, only for him to comeback later. Since he never told anyone about his superhero side, his family would just be confused by why he'd disappeared for so long, and he'd take on a new identity to avoid drawing attention to himself. Might consider telling Noon, but he basically doesn't want people to know what happened to him.
