I like GATE, especially its political setting, which, unfortunately, is severely underplayed in the series. I love how it is mentioned that China would like to invade Japan to send half of it's population there and Russia would like to destroy the gate, in order to save it's economy (which is based around trade with the EU). I also love how it affects the main characters (like, how Japan's military got a big boost from Uncle Sam after the gate opened or, of course, what happens when some of the characters go back to Japan). Sometimes I like to imagine what would happen if another gate would open in another nation, like, for example, Russia, it would dramaticaly alter the story both inside the gate and in our world, since the goals of thiese nations would change and it would be interesting to see conflict in two militaries, whose core ideologies and modus operandi are different.

Now, I don't know much about Philippenes and it's armed forces, but considering that they have men with guns, tanks and helicopters, they wouldn't have a problem against the romans, now I would be more worried about an invasion from China...

Anyway, I know nothing about it's government, but if it wouldn't be able to protect itself from men with swords, bows, magic and dragons, I can see Philippenes asking for an UN peacekeeping force to come and help them, which would, of course give the players the ability to have characters of different etnicities.

TL;DR: I have read/watched GATE, I know 0 about Philippenes and I would like to be a part of this RP. Pretty please.
