The recent passing of Global CC prompted me to start this half-assed attempt of an RP to keep the dream alive. So now I call upon you now, ex-Captains, to continue the journey across Yggdra and save it from evil. While you cannot play as the main characters (Hero, Phoena, Kain, Michidia, Marina, Pirika), you can play as other characters found within the game. Of course, there's always room for OCs so you have a lot of options. Character sheets and rules will be reserved for the OOC once it is up. The story we will go through will mostly be the same though. Mostly. ------- If you're not familiar with Chain Chronicle, then allow me to give you the rundown on waz happenin' in here. Chain Chronicle is a Tower Defense - RPG hybrid mobile game made by Sega. Think Plants vs Zombies except the Plants can move to other tiles or outright engage the Zombies in melee. While the Japanese version is up and running, the English/Global version has ended and this RP is set up in its honor. Now for the story:
The continent of Yggdra is a place where humans, ogres, giants, forest sprites, and many more mythical creatures live. Lead by the Holy King, the continent was at peace until one day, a mysterious group called the Black Army appeared and started conquering the land. In response, the Holy King and its troops fought against it, but Holy Capital fell and the Holy King was killed by the mysterious Black King. As the continent was in the glimpse of destruction, hope glimmered as one man, the Hero (the player), decided to fight back and formed the Volunteer Army to oppose the Black King and bring peace back to Yggdra.

It's the best I could find!
Now for those terms you'll be seeing often:
Royal Capital Once a grand city and where the battle between the Holy King and the Black Army took place. Currently its the main base of the Black Army. Terrible creatures and fearsome soldiers stream forth from this place to harass the remaining inhabitants of Yggdra. Holy Kingdom

Consists of two cities that serves as the current front against the Black Army. The Vice Capital is home to many guilds while also a bustling trade city. Since the appearance of the Black Army, the city is constantly under attack against the dark troops thanks to its proximity to the Royal Capital, reducing activity and forcing merchants to employ the guilds for protection. Worse still is the poverty that is quite rampant in the city, the source of most criminal businesses in the Vice Capital. However, the Black Army has yet to make any progress taking the city, likely because of the the teeth-clenched teamwork of the citizens. The Holy Capital is the home of the deceased Holy King and the many Orders of Knights in Yggdra. A bright city currently ruled by the Holy King's daughter, Princess Juliana. Located near the Holy Capital is the Great Shrine where the wise Sages reside. Thanks to the abrupt death of the Holy King and the seeming incompetence of the current Queen, many a noble has their eyes set on the throne. Sage's Tower

Consists of two areas that is home to many races of Yggdra. The Three Towers compose the Academy of Magic. A school for magic users to hone their abilities or at least, learn more about the nature of magic and mana. It is not uncommon for Wizards and Witches to be a bit eccentric, nor is it uncommon for their antics to bring harm upon others. The Colonies are the underground homes of Earth Sprites and Flame Sprites. The partnership of the two races allows them to better harness the underground resources and protect each other from the Black Army and monsters. Still, digging too deep may lead to secrets better left alone. Lake of Sand A desert country home to plenty of exotic dancers and entertainers. Lizards and vagabonds run rampant in these lands but there are those who seek to right these wrongs. The ruins that dot the nation may contain the greatest of riches or the worst of nightmares. Soul Island Home of the Forest Sprites and the most lush land in Yggdra. Accessible only via boat, it is here where the Great Tree Library is located. While everyone is quite welcome to the Library, getting to the place may be difficult thanks to the open hostility the locals show to outsiders. Nine Territories of Fire Home of the Ogres. Accessible only via boat, the climate in this vast island is almost always hot thanks to the fiery terrain of the land. Volcanoes are plentiful in the Nine Territories but the Ogres seem to have found a way around them.

Humans The most plentiful race in Yggdra but lacks the innate abilities other races have. Despite that, there are many noteworthy humans that surpass the limits of their race and become unique people in the continent. Their capacity for magic is also something not to be underestimated as evidenced by the great wizards of the Sages' Towers. Earth Sprites Small in stature but super in strength, the Earth Sprites are masters in the arts of crafting and construction. They mainly live under the mountains south of the Sages' Towers along with the Flame Sprites and continuously mine the depths of their home for precious gems and rocks. They have long lifespans compared to humans, able to live past a hundred years old. Earth Sprites and Flame Sprites are separated into Colonies. Flame Sprites This race are small in size and have canine-like appearance. They have almost full control of the element of fire and can manipulate it or produce it so long as their overall physique allows it. They live side-by-side with the Earth Sprites and provides heavy assistance in forgery and construction. Forest Sprites A race that whose main homeland is Soul Island. There are two variants of Forest Sprites but while the difference seems great, it is really minute. The pointy-eared variant are more common than the animal-eared variant. The overall view of outsiders (i.e. non-Forest Sprite) is mainly negative, sometimes to the point of hostility. This attitude is not shared by the entire race and those who disagree usually leave Soul Island for somewhere else. Forest Sprites are separated into Tribes whose cultures and antics differ from each other. The main Tribes are: Thousand Rivers Tribe: Well-known for their love of battle and unwavering energy. They will typically pick fights on anyone they can find and will only respect those that beat them. Golden Fruit Tribe: Known for being much kinder and compassionate compared to the other tribes, and typically dislike using their weapons. Sea Breeze Tribe: Each are given a blessing by a creature that they call the guardian beasts and receive their totems in ceremonies. The Seawalkers are a special group within the tribe whose guardian beasts are marine animals. Great Tree Tribe: They are the forest sprites who are one with the earth and view destruction as a natural part of life. They believe that when they disappear, they become one with the plants that they take care of. Ogres The race that mainly inhabits the Nine Territories of Fire. They are similar to humans except for the distinct horn or pair of horns that naturally adorn their heads. They have a battle-focused culture similar the Thousand Rivers Tribe of the Forest Sprites. Any Ogre who shies away from these traditions is considered not to be a true Ogre. Each territory in the Nine Territories is led by a lord who is usually the most powerful of that territory. However, circumstances can dictate otherwise.
While knowing the game is nice, replicating the game is nigh impossible in the RP so one can consider this as another fantasy RP filled with multiple races, war, evil forces, political intrigue, hijinks, romance and romantic hijinks.
