Angelic appearances on the land are often humanoid, but they may choose to reveal their wings or not. Wings are optional as so are any more features that give them an unnatural appearance, such as eye-glow, markings, and more... But the general thumb is humanoid still. You can get creative about it, but try not to go beyond human-shape. Angels do have unfathomable forms, but are not permitted on the land. 

Angels who appear in human form due to vessels are also an option, though if you'd rather just have a self-crafted form (such as the angel has come down in the humanoid form they wish to appear in), that's fine too.

I am sure that angels are frowned upon for mimicking the wings of those above their ranks. Having an appearance too similar to a cherub, seraph, and more would be in poor taste, and more wouldn't be doing it anyways.... (Or shouldn't be...)
