[@Eddie Brock] I get where you're coming from but I think it was unrealistic to expect it never to come up in the narrative. It's like in doctor Who, if/when the doctor regenerates into a woman...gender is gonna get brought up. I dunno, it never became noticeable enough to me to actually distract me from the story I was reading. 

[@Morden Man] I'll have to give it a look sometime. I do disagree that BMB gave everyone the same voice though, I think his characterisation was a bit subtler given that a lot of the team came from street-level Marvel at the start but I never had a problem figuring out who was who. I can't speak for the riding over other people's work as I can't say for definite what was him and what was editorially mandated either way.
