[@Chickn] I love your sincerity. I can tell you really are fond of this character you've created, I can relate to that a lot. There are only a few things I need to inquire about.

-His name needs to have something to do with color in there somewhere

-My partner in crime was president of the mixed martial arts club before they graduated college and currently a black belt in several of them. When you say he is versed 'several martial arts,' that's a very vague and BROAD term. It would mean leaps and bounds if you brushed up on the forms of a few types of martial art and selected a few you think would fit his fighting style. They all look different, and they all do different things, which is why I need to know what you're going for. 

Since there's a lot I'll help you out. Do you want him to be free flowing and use imbalance to his advantage, or do you want him grounded, firm, immovable? Knowing what you want him to LOOK like as he's fighting helps when trying to select something out of all the millions of styles that come under the term 'martial art'
