Brooklyn let her mind wander as her pencil glided across the paper. Her hair fell in loose white waves down her back and over her shoulders, shifting slightly in the warm breeze. The quietness helped her tense muscles to relax, allowing the stress she was so used to melt away. She could hardly remember what it was like to be surrounded by people in a bustling city. Here, she was free to do whatever she pleased, and with low taxes that a part-time job at the local could handle, she had literally no worries. "You're really good." A soft, friendly voice behind her snapped her out of her daze, causing her to properly look at what she had been doodling. It was a rough sketch of her surroundings, the primary focal point was a lone seagull standing with its wings half-outstretched. "Thanks. I don't know, really, I've just always seemed to have a liking for stuff like this." She answered the man's question, turning for the first time to properly look at the stranger. As her eyes adjusted to the sunlight, her cheeks flushed momentarily. He was gorgeous. Like, model-gorgeous, but he seemed vaguely familiar. After a second of staring, Brooke dragged her eyes back to the view in front of them before she could say something stupid. "Are you from around here?" She asked, her voice held a questioning tone to it- yet revealed nothing but polite curiosity. She shifted slightly to face him a little more, yet avoided eye contact to prevent any more ridiculous blushing. She had never been good with guys, often suddenly becoming hopelessly socially awkward when it really mattered. [@SinfulSkills]
